Logo Critique
The ESPN logo is one of the most recognizable logos around. It is very basic but quite unique at the same time. The font is like no other font I have ever seen before. Also the classic red makes people know that it is ESPN. This logo is effective small or large, it doesn't matter what size it is.
The NFL logo is also a logo that speaks for itself, with football being one of the most popular sports in the nation, this logo cannot be confused with any other. Having the initials of the league is very effective, and the fact that there is a football in the logo doesn't hurt either. The red whit and blue color scheme makes it pop out, and give it an American theme. Also very effective small or large.
The Yankee logo, my favorite logo of all time. This is without a doubt one of the most recognizable logos in the sports world. Whether you are in Russia or Texas everyone knows the Yankees. This is because the logo has never changed, the Yankees are a synonymous with sticking with what works, and their logo more than works. Being the richest franchise in baseball they love to plaster it over anything they can. The classic white letters over the "Yankee" blue makes the soul smile.
The largest fast food company in the world must have a great logo, and McDonald's does. Their unforgettable golden arches couldn't be confused with anything else. Their logo works from small frie containers to massive signs outside their chains. The colors work perfectly, your eyes are immediately drawn to the name because it is in white, which is a great business technique.
The Mercedes logo is one of elegance and simplicity. They find no need to put their name on the logo, because it works, Mercedes has had this logo for a very long time, and I doubt they are going to change it anytime soon, Germans are stubborn. The chrome color is what you find on every car and commercial. No one has to ask what logo that is on your car keys, they just know.
